Laura's House, offers a clean and private atmosphere for the mature traveler (traveler not needing a dorm or group style conditions), relocating professionals, researchers and the like. All rooms come private and standard with a full size bed, desk, private bathroom, hi-speed internet, wall to wall carpet, access to a washer and dryer and kitchen. The furnished kitchen comes complete with cooking and eating utensils, a George Foreman grill, juicer, electric stove and microwave. Personal items can be secured in each room.

Laura's House also offers free parking, bus and train accessibility. We are 3 minutes to 3 Metro stations with parking on the Orange and Blue lines (best lines for tourists) by bus or car. By day we suggest taking the bus or taxi. The most economical method being the bus, 1 block away. By night, the taxi from the Addison Seat Pleasant Metro. Once to the metro, you can be in central DC in 18 minutes, Chinatown in 14 minutes, and Capitol Hill in 12 minutes. Taxi rides to/from the Metros are about $5/day and $7 at night.

Payment is due upon arrival. Check-In is by your arrival time, Check Out is 10AM. Please confirm your arrival time with us at least 24 hours before your visit. All guests are to clean up after themselves.

** PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A $25 fee for ARRIVALS BETWEEN 7PM-11PM***

Guests have limited interaction with the house administrator but please ask any questions you may have.

Expected Behaviors:

1. Guests must clean-up after themselves immediately
2. Quiet hours from 10PM-7AM (be considerate and reduce noise when coming in late)

Terms & Conditions
Payment in full is due upon arrival. We do not accept personal checks. A valid credit card is required for reservations. Guests should call or email 24 hours prior to the arrival date to confirm the arrival time. Check-in is by appointment only on the arrival date, and check-out is at 10:00 AM on the departure date. The best way to reach us with questions is via email at dcmethod@gmail.com. We are also available at +1240.582.7584 OR +1202-446-6701. All guests must show a government issued photo ID upon check-in. Effective for bookings made after January 14, 2009, arrivals between 7PM-11PM will require an additional $25 fee. No-shows and cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to arrival will be charged one night’s stay. If the guest does not cancel the reservation or arrive the first night of the reservation, the remainder of the reservation will be canceled. Guests should make stay extension requests at least 24 hours before scheduled departure. Stay extension requests may require the guest/s to switch rooms. Accommodations are available only to travelers from outside a 45 mile radius of Washington, DC. We do not accommodate walk up guests. We make no refunds however, we do understand that extenuating circumstances can occur. Should this happen, a gift certificate (good for one year) will be issued.
